Brian Grazer Looking For Hungry Oscar Host

Its the best job in the world, its a hard job, he told Access Hollywood correspondent Tim Vincent on Thursday in Los Angeles. You really want someone whos almost looking at it as a sort of civil servant, where theyre feeling like, Were thrilled to be here, dying to do it, waking up early, Im thinking about it all night. It was revealed on Wednesday that Brian would be producing the show replacing Brett Ratner alongside multi-Emmy Award winner Don Mischer. Following Ratners exit from the award show, host Eddie Murphy also pulled out. Brian actually produced Bretts latest film, Tower Heist, and he revealed the director is behind him. Hes thrilled and I know that hes had contact with Don and hes thrilled that were a team and doing the Oscars, Brian told Tim. On Thursday, Brian and Don said they expected to discuss the open host position. The actual meat of the show, however, wont be scheduled until early next year, Don said. This is the point where you start that process, Don said. Nothing gets completely locked in until you know the nominations, which will be January 24.
